I was conflicted about writing this review. I really wanted this product to work, and thought I’d give it a try due to all the glowing reviews. I ended up giving it two stars as it did remove the odor for a month, or at least lessened it, but the longer I left it, the stronger the odor was becoming. I was NOT treating a cat corner, or an old stain. One of my cats had relieved themselves on the carpet after having company for a couple days…it was a stress incident, not an infection or any sort of illness…just one little weewee spot. I followed all the directions, even pre-treated with P-Bath. It never passed the nose to carpet test, and if I can still smell it, so can my cats. I used an entire quart, and the odor still persisted. Again, this was one little urine spot.
About the scent of the product, I found it very unappealing. It had a minty-ish, medicinal scent that reminded me of being in a doctors office. I have a hard time believing all the reviews now where someone simply sprayed a cat corner, or a spot repeatedly visited by their cats and all the stink disappeared. I also keep thinking, if a product is so great, why can’t I just go to a store and pick it up? It makes me wonder if half these reviews are posted by people who sell the stuff. I did end up going to my local pet store and picking up something there that was a fraction of the cost. Not only is it an odor remover, but also a stain remover and it works great…even on old odors and stains.

I keep this product in a spray bottle, ready to use. I also bought the black light, pee finder. I scan the house, after dark, and if there are any spots, I apply Anti-icky Poo and let it airdry, and they’re gone. We have a cat with a urinary problem and this has kept us from feeling helpless about the situation.

This stuff is amazing. My sweet 14 year old dog has typical old dog problems of moving and controling. Anti-Icky-Poo makes living with the problem tolerable. Clean up, spray, and when it’s dry the accident is just a memory.

This is a tricky one. The product probably does perform as claimed by the manufacturer, but my experience after going through 3 gallons is that it spreads the urine out over a larger area of carpet. The regular product seemed to work better than unscented, if you don’t mind that the scent lingers. The unscented seemed to leave more discolored residue. In general, the odor spread out like a donut around the original spot.
Since I would probably have to commit to buying several more gallons to complete the treatment, I chose to try professional carpet cleaning/water extraction. I’m happy with the overall cleaning job, but odors were not removed.
I found a recipe online for 1 quart hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda and 1 teaspoon liquid soap. Most areas require 2 or 3 applications (saturate, let dry for 24-48 hours, vacuum after completely dry, reapply where you still find odor). At a fifth of the cost of Anti Icky, this recipe is currently my new best friend. It also gets rid of Anti’s scent. More tips can be found online…

I’ve tried everything on the market and NOTHING holds a candle to this stuff. For pet messes, kid messes, and everything in between…it’s the only stuff that actually eliminates the odor completely and permanently. I just really wish it was available in stores. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money on anything else. This is the only one that actually does the trick.
